The Fraser Valley is in southwestern British Columbia, Canada, just east of Vancouver and north of the Canada-U.S. border. It encompasses the area surrounding the Fraser River, including communities such as Langley, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and Mission. While historically known for its agriculture, the Fraser Valley has recently emerged as a notable wine-producing region.
The modern wine industry in the Fraser Valley dates back to the late 20th century, with the first vineyards and wineries being established in the region during the 1980s and 1990s. However, it has experienced growth and development in recent years, with an increasing number of wineries and a growing reputation for quality wines.

The Fraser Valley has become a popular destination for wine tourism, attracting visitors from Vancouver and beyond who come to explore its scenic vineyards, taste local wines, and learn about the region’s winemaking history and practices.
