Methuselah
A 6 litre bottle or 8 standard bottles. Most wine bottle sizes are named after biblical kings and Methuselah was a biblical patriarch who is said to have lived to 969. His descendant was Noah, the only man to have survived the Great Flood and he is credited with having planted the very first vines.
microclimate
This refers to the unique climatic conditions in a very small area. In vineyards it refers to the area within the immediate vicinity of the vines; around the vine canopy and the grapes themselves. This variability could be due to elevation, coastal positions etc.
Nebuchadnezzar
A 15 litre bottle or 20 standard bottles. Most bottle sizes are named after biblical kings and Nebuchadnezzar is credited with the construction of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon as well as with the destruction of Solomon’s Temple. 
Organic winery
Organic wine making is the made from grapes grown in accordance with principles of organic farming, which typically excludes the use of artificial chemical fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides and herbicides.
phylloxera
an almost microscopic insect pest of commercial grapevines that feed on the roots and leaves of grapevines gradually cutting off the flow of nutrients and water to the vine.
Rehoboam
A 4.5 litre bottle or 6 standard bottles and is for sparkling wine only. Most wine bottle sizes are named after biblical kings and Rehoboam was the first king of the Kingdom of Judah.
Salmanazar
A 9 litre bottle or 12 standard bottles. Most wine bottle sizes are named after biblical kings and Salmanazar was king of Assyria from 727-722 BC.
standard bottle
The standard wine bottle size is 750ml. When larger sizes are referenced they often refer to how many standard bottles they are, using this 750ml as a base.

This shows an average rating of all wattwines users. To help contribute, register with us and then click the number of stars you give that winery from its unique page when you select it from a list.
Star Rating (Your)
This shows how you have rated this winery. You can make change to your rating at any time by logging in and selecting how many stars you give the winery on its unique page when you select it from a list.
Star Ratings
Registered users of wattwines can rate wineries to help others pick their new favorites. You can then sort by this feature to ensure you are seeing the most popular wineries first
sweetness
Sweetness is derived from residual sugar. This is the leftover sweetness when not all of the grape must is fermented into alcohol
terroir
The complete natural environment in which a particular wine is produced, including factors such as the soil, topography, and climate.
winery features
You can select from a range of key features that wineries have to offer from features that enhance your visit like Electric Vehicle charging, right down to the varietals on offer. Select multiple options to fine tune your search.

Wishlists allow wattwine users to select their favorite wineries, map them, and store them in one place. To do this log in and simply click the heart icon on the wineries unique page when you select it from a search result or map.
