- We simply love making wine. To taste our wines and to realise that we have created something really special gives us immense pleasure. We really look after our vineyard with hand pruning and minimal use of chemicals and fertilisers. We hand pick the grapes just as they ripen. Our red wine making is simple, using open fermenters and hand plunging to give great colour and flavour development along with fine soft tannins. We use similar simple techniques to make our white wines. Life is simply good at Winburndale.
